I chose to read the book
Bossypants by Tina Fey. I chose this book because it's by one of my favorite actresses Tina Fey, who I think is absolutely hilarious. Of course I could have read many other comedians books but what really stuck out to me was the cover. I know we're not supposed to judge a book by its cover but I did. The cover has Tina resting her head on her arms, except they aren't her arms, they're a mans which looks completely ridiculous but also quite hilarious.
Another thing about the book that stuck out to me was the title. Bossypants, it sounds like something a little kid would say when complaining about one of their siblings. Tina, being a mother has probably heard this word
bossypants many times from the mouths of her own children where is where she probably got the inspiration for the title.
Have you always read books by comedians? It seems that everyone has their own preference, obviously. I tend to read books by Ray Bradbury
ReplyDeleteThis book seems really funny! and i love the cover it is funny, i like tina fey as an actress too and this book seems good to read. I am not much of a comedy book type reader but if i did read one i would read this it seems good!. Thanks for the details about it.
